After a crazy day at Curlvolution I made sure I was tucked up in bed so I could be up bright early and energetic for Afro Hair & Beauty Baby!
I have been going for the last two years and always had a
great time so I was excited to go again.
The intention was to get there early so that we could get around
most of the stands before it gets too packed but honestly that never works our for me
I
felt the host really worked hard to engage the crowded telling
jokes and getting them involved with games for prizes
I even won a goodie bag of Palmers goodies Yay me!
I had been very eager to check a new company called Cantu
which I was introduced to during The Natural Hair week. I was particularly interested
a product called: Deep Treatment Masque
but it was sold out

I even won a goodie bag of Palmers goodies Yay me!
No matter how hard I plan there is so much excitement going
on that I lose the plot and and up running round like a headless chicken with a
debit card.
I have to pat myself on the back for somewhat restraining
myself.
I had noticed last year that a lot of the products on offer
has a natural slant, moving away from chemicals and typical 'bad ingredients' which
have plagued products marketed towards black hair less lye and more Shea butter
please.
It was great to see stylists at work especially Felicia
Leatherwood
who was on the Beautiful Texture’s stand she also had workshop at Curlvolution which I found very helpful as she explained the different hair types but more importantly how to use products I may already be familiar with.
I loved this year's show and I would definitely go again.

I have to mention the ORS stand which looked amazing this
year with a vending machine which dispensed ORS products when you instagramed a
picture using the ORS hashtag there was also hair
demos going on and a ORS pop up shop as well as a VIP area
which gave me the very welcome opportunity to take quick break and relax with a glass of champagne and lemon sorbet.
There was also branded mini cupcakes and cape pops but I am pleased to say I was good and resisted not that I can say the same about my companions…

It gave me the opportunity to chat with the representatives
about some of the newer products
Sealicious range which was released at the day before and the
Monoi oil range that I purchased at The Natural Hair Week. Unfortunately as I have
my hair in crochet braids I have not yet been able to test the products.
However I was able to purchase some today woop woop!
Unfortunately I had to leave early as I had planned to drive
up to Melksham to visit my grand mother
But I took a load of pictures that you can check out.
Did you get to attend Afro Hair & Beauty Live?
