Moroccan Oil Mini Review

I was gifted a  Moroccan Oil  during LFW and I remember being impressed with it but I didn't close oil bottle properly and it spilt into my carpet L
I still had the shampoo and conditioner and I am happy with the results.

I had been meaning to buy some more oil but had never gotten around to it.
During Clothes Shoe live when I saw a girl with the familiar blue bag with orange writing I stopped her and asked her where she had made her purchase.

The one thing I don’t like about the Moroccan Oil is how it feels in my hands .. but I feel the way about Argon oil in general also, it dose, however, smell amazing and moisturises my hair without leaving it greasy.
I intend to use it consistently for a few weeks to see how much of a difference it makes to the condition of my hair.

I will let you know my thoughts soon

No7 Beautiful Skin Cleansing Brush Review

I have been wanting to try one of these gadgets for some time now but I was a bit scared I would go overboard and exfoliate my skin off.

After reading a number of favourable reviews I decided invest my Boots points and give it a try (Thank you treatstreet)

I liked the fact that the cleaning brush has two speeds however the lower speed is just fine for me.

After my 1st use I am happy to say that my skin was intact and my face really felt clean and smooth. The next day however I had the worst break out ever, I  reasoned that you have a break out after having a facial so it’s probably the same kind of thing.

I kept on with the product and I am very happy with the results.
I had read that some people experienced dry skin after using the product often so I tend to use it every other day some times less to be on the safe side.

Ha anyone else tried this product and how did you find it?

Hypnôse Drama Mascara Gift Set Review

I have used many mascaras. hundreds probably. I’m cursed with short tightly curled  lashes, I used to wear fake lashes for nights out but have since forgotten how to apply them without gluing my eyes shut so for the moment I am at the mercy of mascaras to great the illusion of thick  dramatic lashes.

Lancôme Hypnoses Drama Mascara before however it was slightly out of my price range.

Lancôme Hypnoses Drama Mascara brush has a slight curve to it , so you have two sides to use. Using the flatter side of the brush first, you wiggle it up the length of your lashes to give them volume and body, then turn over and use the curved side to structure and separate each lash.

I generally use quite a few coats but with the Lancôme Hypnoses Drama Mascara two coats really all you need!

I was also very impressed with the Bi-Facil make-up remover, generally when I use make up removers it still takes for ever to get off all of my eye make-up and sometimes I still have panda eyes the next day. The Bi-Facil make-up remover removed all  of my eye make-up in no time without that stingy feeling, and it had a really pleasant smell.

The Mini Eyeliner is also of good quality (well it is Lancôme) perfect for keeping in my handbag.

was however very pleased to find out that Harrods currently have the Lancôme hypnoses drama Gift Set in stock which Includes Bi-Facil make-up remover and mini eyeliner for £10.50!!

Get it while stocks last!

Hayes Street Farm Boot Fair

Hi all hope everyone had a great weekend and enjoyed the AMAZING weather!
I made sure to take full advantage.

Sunday morning I made sure I was up super early to meet my mum and her dog Barbie to go to the Hayes Boot sale.

I must say this is my first time going to a proper boot sale in a field as apposed to a car park or school.
Barbies ready to find some bargains
Now I’m going to let my lack of pictures illustrate how good the boot sale was as even after several trips back to the car my hands were rarely empty

Here are a few of my fave purchases

I got this United Colors of Benetton camera case and handbag for £3.00!!

This vintage leather and suede Jacket cost me a whopping
Mens Blazer a steal at
I also brought some really pretty plates and vases

I can’t believe my mum has been living around the corner for three years and this is the first time that we have gone there.

Poor Barbie was absolutely KNACKERED by the time we left poor Barbie had to be carried to the car but she had lots of fun meeting people and other dogs.
I thought it was really nice that lots of the stall holders but bowls of water for the visiting dogs.

It was also a good opportunity for my mum to meet some more of the neighbours.

Hayes Street Farm Boot Fairs throughout the year from April to September, they are normally every two weeks but this can change due to weather

conditions. To keep updated check the Hayes Street Farm Boot Fair website or check out their twitter @HayesStreetFarm

Kesh X American Apparel Review

Back in the day I was friends with Kesh on MySpace followed her blog  and followed her career from when she would design customised clothing for MC’s Jammer (rapper), Dizzee Rascal and members of Roll Deep. Her own creative look and styling skills lead to her being featured in  i-D Magazine and landed her a  fashion editor role  at SuperSuper Magazine.[

During the mid 200o she was a key fixture in the nu rave scene in London and throughout Europe as she DJ’ed with Zezi Ifore  and as part of The Coconut Twins.

I enjoyed reading Kesh’s blog not only for the fashion but She always came out with great looks for everyday wear and photo shoots and seemed to be having a great time where ever her and her friends went as they travelled through Europe, New York, LA, London and everywhere else.

I recently came across her Instagram page and  found out that American Apparel has recently teamed up with the well-known fashion, English born artist, fashion designer, DJ and blogger to create a limited edition collection called Kesh X American Apparel

Once known for using being very colorful and mixing vintage pieces with items she made herself (In her early blogging days)  Kesh X American Apparel reflects her are work which is art is very creative and distinctive.

She uses a lot of bold lines and shapes to create complex yet simple graphics using cubist-like geometry that conjoins to form facial features.

I particularly love the KESH X American Apparel Cotton Spandex Dress (Dunno if my body is body con ready) I would have loved for there to be a high waisted ¾ skirt with the eye motif but that’s just me.

Kesh X American Apparel is available online at American Apparel
and you can check out her artwork at Kesh Continues
What are your thoughts about the Kesh X American Apparel collection?

Another Sunday Selling and 26 Boot Sale Tips

On a gloomey Sunday what treatend to rain (Infact it had been threatening to rain since Friday) I picked up my friend Maeve with a car full of clothes shoes, bages, makeup and jewellry and headed down to Pimilo school for another day of selling.

There we met up with Flora and Tanisha, unpacked the cars and I managed to bag a great pitch.
We quickly set up and were ready as the bargin hunters came running in.

I always have fun at the bootsale as there Is always intresting people to talk to give or take the odd aggressive hagler (You wont intimadate me mate!)

It wasn’t the busist of Sundays, nto sure if it was down to the weather or that it was the weekend before payday. I didn’t do to badly but some of the other sellers didn’t look too impressed.

However when I looked around some of the stalls I wasn’t too impressed either.
It did lead me to wonder if  sellers are coming to bootsales with realitic epectations…

Here are some tips for selling at a boot sale

1. Be relistic with your prices

2. If an item is unusual or hard to find than I understand asking a higher price but anything from Primark shouldn’t really be more than a pound sorry!

3. If you are really reluctant to lower the price of an item I recommend you consider an online auction site such as Ebay

4. I like to see items sorted by price and presented nicely, price groups of 50p, £1, £2 and £5 are always good and items that are more expensive should be put on a rail

5. I hate when people bring items that are damaged, faded, bobbly and  basicly in a condion that they wouldn’t wear it now a pair ripped of jeans or t’shirt could be very edgy and cool to some one else but lets not take the p’ ad try to wack a massive price tag on it

6. Be prepared to haggle with a smile – that’s the point of a bootsale right I have had people suggest som outrageous prices to me during negotiations and it is easy to get a bit irratated expecally when the buyer is persistant or even rude. I find its best to keep cool, smile and be firm with them.

7. Don’t buy from other stalls, there have been times that I have spent all my profits on stuff from other stalls or even the time when I thought it would be a greta idea to swap items with other stall traders and came back home with just as much stuff as I left with in the 1st place.
8. I have a bit more will power now and will generally allow my self one item if it is still there at the end of the day (It rarely is)

9. Signs are good make em big make em bright and make em eye catching!!

10. Bring a fun friend- I always have the funniest time at the boot sale with my friends because we are a little bit (Maybe a lot) crazy! We tell jokes, laugh loud, dance and talk to EVERYBODY!
11. I hate when sellers sit there with sour looks on their faces having a good time makes the day go faster and is probably the reason that we always make money

12. Organize everything the night before so you're not rushing around early the next morning

13. Have an early night. Car boot sales will usually open very early. Luckily the one I go to opens about 9.30 so I’m not up at the crack of dawn but I have been to boot sale that start at 6am

14. Have a float with  mixture of coins and notes and keep it separate from the money in your purse or handbag

15. Bring a small handbag with you and do not bring valuables in your bag. Use this bag mainly for your coins and notes - If it's possible put this bag under your jacket for extra security

16. Pack a lunch - If you're going alone then you will most likely not be able to leave your car/area during the day to get a snack so pack a sandwich and water to keep you going.

17. Bring little containers or boxes to separate items into different categories so it’s not just one big jumble this makes it easier for a buyer to see what items you have for sale.

18. If you're selling clothes, bring hangers, you might not always have an area to hang your clothes, you may just have to fold them, but having hangers again is a great way for buyers to see your clothes and it makes it more visible and appealing.

19. Bring plastic bags – I also like to hang on to any nice paper or fabric bags that I get from events to give to buyer that spend a lot of money with me

20. Zip lock bags or the paper bags are great if you are selling make up or jewellery or small items that do not need massive bags and can be purchased really cheaply in pound shops

21. If you're not taking a car and plan on using any available space in the area i.e. the ground, I suggest bring an old sheet or a rug to down first Yu can also get those ground sheets that go under tents quite cheaply in pounds shops in case the floor is a bit damp.

22. If you're selling an item that is unworn with the original price tag make sure that it is clearly visible to buyers.

23. Some people may not like to ask the price of something so make sure to be friendly and go over and start a conversation about the price and brand to make them even more interested in the item.

24. Make friends with other sellers in the line I once got talking to another seller who turned out to be a PA for a Duchess who was moving to a smaller property. Not only did I manage to get loads of designers clothing shoes and bags at a crazy low price to sell on, the duchess also remembered me two years later and gave me first refusal when she was having another clear out.

25. Don’t be disappointed if you haven't sold as much as you had hoped there is always following weekend to sell again and different people with different tastes will always be there.

26. I like to tweet, instagram and Facebook pics of some of the items I will be selling and when I will next be at the boot sale.

IMATS Review & Pictures

You may have know from my tweets I was soo looking forward to going to the IMATS.

I had read reviews, conversed with other bloggers, studied the map, given my self a spending budget (Which I did not exceed).

Well the Saturday came and went and I found myself up at Olympa bright and early with ready to take lots of pictures and buy lots of goodies.
I knew that the event was geared towards professinal make-up artists but it was my understanding that there would be people that love make-up and want to see what is new in the world of cosmetics.
All of the main players were there Mac NARS Bobbi Brown to name a few

Unfortunately the stands that I would have done the most damage at  MAC and NYX were absolutely crazy!

The line were doing something I couldn’t really understated and it was hard to tell who was buying, browsing or just standing there.

I did manage purchase some goodies from Nars Bobbi Brown Crown Brush And Beauty So Clean.

I was disappointed that there wasn’t a lot of selling going on there.

Sounds like a random statement right?

I under stand that the event is aimed at Make-up professionals but there were many “Laymen” there myself included who just wanted to see what was new and make some purchases. I understand from reading blogs and talking to people there that a lot of the attendees had made lists way before they attended the evnt and knew exactly what they wanted to purchase but I on the other hand wanted to be sold too!
Tell me wots hot what new wots popin!!

A lot of the staff could have been more helpful also … guess they are
not on comission
The stands were also quite small which meant I had to be a lil bit aggressive and push my way through the crowds otherwise I probably wouldn't have brought anything
I did see some great make up effects, meet some great people, watch seminars and so in all it was a good day
I love these looks
 Check out my pics
