Obby Makeup and Skincare Masterclass Review

I have recently come acquainted with an amazing website called Obby which acts as a community

#MACTaraji MAC X Taraji P Henson Collaboration Coming Soon!

As much as I love their products I have I had started to grow weary of some MACs collaborations.
I mean trolls.. really and the Simpsons collaboration was cute but really who wore it?

And we have a winner

Gemma Davison

You are the Winner of my Magic Eraser Prize draw
"I'm delighted to be the winner, as I have been wanting to try out a make-up eraser for so long. I'm tired of battling with face wipes, and then having to wash my face anyway. I really can't wait to try it."

Thank you for every on that entered my Magic Eraser prize draw please keep checking out my blog for product and event reviews, beauty and fashion posta and more prize draws.

I purchased this little beauty from Professional Beauty and I got straight to using it and completely forgot about writing a blog post lol!

What is the Makeup Eraser???
"The MakeUp Eraser cloth removes make up completely and quickly using no chemical or cleanser, saving the user money and time each and every day. This  gentle cleansing process promotes healthy facial skin because it does not affect the skin's natural acid mantle,
The Make Up Eraser is made from a specially knitted polyester/silk fibre which is many times finer than human hair, when wet the eraser creates a hydro-mechanical process that breaks the surface tension of the oils that bond make up to the skin, MakeUp Eraser even removes waterproof and smearproof mascara, HD makeup and lipstick. The Eraser is double sided and has a slightly longer nap on one side for gentle exfoliation, whilst the other shorter side is for the 100% removal of all makeup, the Eraser is suitable for all skin types, even for the most sensitive and troublesome skin. "

Does it work??

Umm Yes!

After ruining a number of flannels I didn’t have much confidence in this product but curiosity made me purchase it when I attended professional beauty earlier this year.
I cant remember exactly how much I paid for it but I ended up buying a 2nd one at a slight discount.
The instructions said to Wash Eraser prior to first erase! And the washing instructions were on tag and said  to: machine wash cool delicate and tumble dry low.
I dint do this I just hand washed it and left it to dry on my radiator but it was fine when it dried.

The instructions said to:
Wet portion of Makeup Eraser…..Drenched Wet! Use Warm Water.
Erase by gently rub off makeup in circular motion. Then flip Eraser to long nap side to exfoliate!
Wash Makeup Eraser as needed.

Pretty simple but the results were great!

I’m sorry that I didn’t take any pics but you can try it out for yourself!

Viva Glam V by Mac Lipstick Review

Another MAC gem I forgot about ...................... I bought Viva Glam V to wear on my birthday and got a
little scare when the sales staff in MAC Covent garden rang a bell
and then everybody cheered!
Described on the MAC website as:
In March 2004, Viva Glam V makes its debut, a pure neutral pink with a delicious Lustre finish! Every cent of the selling price of VIVA GLAM Lipstick and Lipglass is donated to the M·A·C AIDS Fund to support men, women, and children living with HIV and AIDS.

Viva Glam V is a lovely nude colour with a subtle hint of gold glitter which is lovely for every day or night time if you were to go with a dramatic eye and didn’t what to do too much with the lips.
Swatch on my hand
It goes on well and left my lips feeling moisturized without feeling sticky and didn’t require too many applications.
Viva Glam V is available for purchase at MAC Cosmetics
Its also nice to know that my makeup obsession is helping a good cause

What’s your fave Viva Glam shade?

How to Wash Makeup Brushes

Sorry How I wash my makeup brushes

This has to be one of the worst chores ever but I can’t put it off because dirty brushes will  transfer old makeup, germs, and bacteria each time you use them. Increasing the risk of break outs.
I used to clean my brushes once a week until I came across this little beauty when I visited the IMATS last summer
BeautySoClean Conditioning Brush Cleanser
BeautySoClean Conditioning Brush Cleanser is a super-efficient yet gentle makeup brush cleanser that quickly dissolves all makeup residue while leaving your brushes fresh, clean and soft. The perfect blend of alcohol and emollients ensures your brushes will feel soft and dry within seconds.
Every day after I apply my make-up I simply spray my brushes with BeautySoClean Conditioning Brush Cleanser and Voila I’m good to go!
I still give my brushes a wash to be on the safe side but I now do it every two weeks.
to make sure they are cleaned thoroughly I spray the brushes with BeautySoClean Conditioning Brush Cleanser then leave them for 5 minutes
I wet the brushes and add a drop CLEAN ON ME by Soap and Glory
(I like CLEAN ON ME by Soap and Glory because I like the way it makes my brushes smell and I like that is a push down dispenser)
And rub gently into the bristles, until the lather starts to foam
Rinse and repeat until the lather is completely white being careful to avoid distorting the shape of the brush or not to get shampoo in the ferrule, or the metal part that holds the bristles and the handle together
Give a final rinse and then blot the brushes dry on a towel
Lay the brushes flat on a towel overnight.
BeautySoClean costs £11.00 and can be purchased from Feelunique
CLEAN ON ME costs £6.00 and can be purchased from  Soap and Glory

How do you clean your make-up brushes and how often?

The Magic Bullet Review

I previously mentioned this product in my Bloggers Love...Beauty Bar Event
Review however I wanted to use it for a while to work out exactly how I felt about it before writing a review.
I love The Makeup Bullet!!!
The Makeup Bullet is a foam applicator which fits on your finger, it can be used wet or dry for liquids, creams and powders.
My favourite part is the bullet shaped point which is great for difficult areas such as the corners of your eyes.
Incredibly simple to use and multi-task as you can hold other brushes or bottles as the Makeup Bullet sits on the end of your finger and super easy to clean.
The Makeup Bullet costs £11.99 for a single pack and £22.99 for a triple pack
(Defiantly worth it!)
and can be purchased

Have you tried The Makeup Bullet
What are your thoughts?

CYBER by MAC Cosmetics Lipstick Review

Cyber is a lipstick that has been on my wish list for a while and I finally got this. I'm so in love with this vampy purple lipstick!

Described by MAC
"Colour plus texture for the lips. Stands out on the runway. Simmers on the street!
What made M•A•C famous."
Recently I have been getting more into dark vampy shades recently as I really like the way they work for my skin tone.
I spotted  Cyber from MAC worn on one of the artists during a MAC haul and had to have it.
Cyber is a dramatic and moody dark plum purple lipstick with a Satin finish. I love the darkness of the shade it's a prefect winter colour!
I find you need to apply a few coats of this lipstick to get it's true colour and I go around my lips with foundation to keep the lines sharp
(I should probably invest in a decent lip liner).
If  you like a bold dramatic lip colour Cyber is defiantly one to try

The Kelly & Sharon Osbourne to debut new Mac lipstick

The outspoken mother daughter duo will be launching their own shade of lipstick as per "E! Fashion Police" hostess twitter page @KellyOsbourne “Mum-and daughter-is the word! Thrilled to announce the @MrsSOsbourne and @KellyOsbourne collaboration avail June 2014. #MACOsbournes,"

Since both are known for their bold fashion and beauty choices I for one can’t wait to see what they come up with in June 14.
Wonder if it will sell out like Rhianna’s collections

Are you looking forward to this collection? Make overs and Susie Bubble talks about New Wave Italian Fashion in the House of Peroni

Thursday had never been my fave dry of the week but it was nice to have not one but two events to look forward too.

First stop was Penthouse for Bloggers... Love

where I was lucky enough to get my nails and make up done

and grabbed a beautful looking cupcake

before they all disappeared.

I always have a great time at Bloggers events and meet many talented bloggers however today I was In a hurry to get to my next event.
I did get to have a look at some of the amazing jewellery by  (

(I didn’t get to take any pics but the girls at Bloggers..Love promised to send me some) and was given a goodie bag on my way out.

I arrived at the House of Peroni just in time to catch a talk hosted by fashion blogger Susie Bubble about New Wave Italian Fashion with award winning accessories designer Simone Rainer and women’s wear designer Arthur Arbesser.

I found the talk which highlighted of the difficulties faced by upcoming Italian designer in the old Italian market which is very formal and traditional and how they are having to branch out
Italian fashion industry, perceptions, trends and designers to watch. Susie will be discussing the challenges young designers face in Italy,

And they compare the Italian fashion scene is compared to other markets and what changes can be made to support new talent
Dispite missing the beginning of the talk I found it interesting as I hadn't considered how hard or would be I a market with such fashion history, a point was made about London and New York being cultural melting out which makes are quick to embrace new innovative trends and ideas which I think is defiantly true

I must add if you have not been to the House of Peroni take yourself up there!
Every day they are doing different interesting events such as fashion talks, movies and even mixology classes
