Fun DMC Day Party Review

Despite getting older and my lifestyle changing completely every now and then I do miss dolling myself up going out to shake a leg.
At the same time, I do not miss...
Wearing heels
Standing outside in queues in the rain
Long walks to the car
Having to tell loads of guys "No! You cannot have my number"

When I heard that Fun DMC would be having a day party for children in conjunction with the Imagine festival South-bank Center in London I immediately got together a crew of my friends that had children so we could all go shake a leg (And our booty’s) old school style

The baby loves music plus he loves to dance, in his head he is actually Bruno Mars and Drake rolled into one so I knew that he would be down to get down with his old auntie.
He just needed to have a cool outfit and his light up sketchers to wear so he could feel confident and he was going to have an amazing time.

I also invited a friend from his school to keep him company.

As the event was at the South bank we will collectively decide that it would be a good idea to take the clipper then the kids would have the experience of riding the boat instead of getting the tube

To be fair the adults were actually excited more than the kids were, the baby played his Nintendo switch the whole ride.

We previously attended fund the MC around two years ago and had a good time so we knew it was going to be least.

The night before the baby and I picked our outfits He's not the stage where he really cares about fashion and designer clothing he just likes pictures of his fave cartoon characters on his T-shirt however it was important that he felt comfortable and confident in whatever he wore.

I, on the other hand, was ready to get down!
With my Karl Kani bomber, jacket from the Pretty little thing collection
Bright red lips and bamboo earrings
Oh yes i was channeling the 90's and feeling myself.

As soon as we entered the dance area we all felt that vibe and the dance floor was packed!
Mum's, dad's, kids errbody getting down and having an amazing time.

Note to self - I and the baby need matching Adidas tracksuits

I loved the fact that the MC interacted with the children by telling jokes and invited them to participate in dance competitions on the stage.

The baby entered two! a flossing competition and a competition where they did the whip and then ney nay, unfortunately, he didn't win either

Never mind Auntie presented him with his friends their own flashy gold chains in a rather Jay-Z  Rockefeller fashion if I don't say so myself
I know he was pleased as he has been wearing it bloody ever since.

Fun DMC defiantly definitely helped to bridge the gap age group was between myself and my nephew, as it was a great opportunity for him to see me as not nagging on auntie telling him to tidy his room and brush his teeth, but as the cool Auntie Lee that knows how to Nay Nay,  cheered for him while did the floss encouraged him to have an amazing time.

I also gave me and my friends a chance to relive our youth, we are not as energetic as we used to be but we can still throw down some moves hey!!

I cannot wait for the next event that FunDMC will be hosting on Sunday, the 31st of March 2019
