Hello Fresh Food Box Review

Firstly let me state I never said I was a domestic goddess!
Yes I can cook
But do I like to cook?
No

I have however  said for the longest time that I wanted to eat healthier and try different foods time never allowed me to be more experimental in the kitchen and quite frankly I couldn’t be bothered.

When friends mentioned a Hello Fresh to me a few years ago I thought it was a good idea but never looked in to it.

Recently while attending Be:fit London I bumped in to the Hello Fresh guys who explained the service to me in more details and convinced me to join up.

I tried three meals from the classic (omnivore) box in my HelloFresh delivery: Jamie's Baked Sweet Potatoes, Chicken with Rigatoni, Crème Fraîche and Tarragon, and Artisan Sausages with Roasted Garlic Mash.

Each meal came with all the necessary ingredients except minus salt, pepper, and cooking oil, and a detailed recipe card that included colour photos and easy-to-follow step-by-step cooking instructions

I have to say I am a sucker for cleaver packaging and HelloFresh did not disappoint.
My meals were sent to me in a branded cooler box, along with ice packs to keep food refrigerated (but not frozen). Meat and fish are packaged in vacuum-sealed bags.
Produce and pantry ingredients are sorted by meal, then grouped and packaged in color-coded plastic bags.

I narrowly missed a sticky situation my delivery was scheduled for a Sunday and at some point I had to nip out, luckily I had a call from the delivery man letting me know that he had left the package somewhere safe
(Thank god because I hadn’t done any shopping)
Two out of the three meals I was looking forward to the Chicken with Rigatoni, Crème Fraîche and Tarragon, and Artisan Sausages with Roasted Garlic Mash however the Jamie's Baked Sweet Potatoes, just didn’t ring my bell.

I absolutely loved the Chicken with Rigatoni, Crème Fraîche and Tarragon and would defiantly make it again but I have to admit I didn’t bother with the Jamie's Baked Sweet Potatoes which was a shame because I was meant to be forcing myself to try new things.

One of the issues I had was actually due to my lifestyle as a single woman living alone I’m hardly in my flat at a decent time to cook dinner and end up picking up food or if I’m visiting family they end up feeding me (Yeah I said it)

The meals I received from HelloFresh all had had fresh ingredients, and produced well-flavoured, ample-sized meals well the two I actually made
As far as pricing, this service is defiantly cheaper than eating out or getting take always every night but at £39 pounds a week its defiantly not less than what I would spend on shopping.

As the meals were for two people my intention was to get 6 days’ worth of meals instead of three then eat at mummies for Sunday dinner but I ended up being out of the flat more than expected that is why I didn’t get around to making the Jamie's Baked Sweet Potatoes meal.

I defiantly would like to try more recipes from HelloFresh.

Palmer's Coconut Oil Formula Range Review

I was recently invited invited to the Palmer's #CoconutEscape event for the launch of their new beauty products that have been added to their coconut oil formula range.

The rooftop of the Ham Yard Hotel in London was transformed into a tropical paradise decorated with coconuts and vacation style decorations. I was treated to Rum punch and coconut-inspired nibbles while I checked the new products from the range.
Palmer's coconut oil formula is made with a nourishing combination of raw coconut oil, monoi oil and sweet almond oil which not only smells heavenly but is but for keeping skin radiant and healthy.

The collection consists of the following products:

Palmer's Coconut Oil Formula Body Cream - £5.00

Palmer's Coconut Oil Formula Body Oil - £7.00

Palmer's Coconut Oil Formula Body Lotion - £4.00

Palmer's Coconut Oil Formula Hand Cream - £2.40

My fave of which is the Palmer's Coconut Oil Formula Body Oil because it is light weight and not too greasy plus you can put it in the bath.

I used it over the weekend on my nephew and it left him smelling do good I could have easily eaten him up!
