ORS Shealicious Conditioning Hair Treatment Product Review

Firstly how cute is this packaging?

I had seen the images of the ORS Sealicious range on Instagram and got to have a close up look at it when I attended Natural Hair Week in London however they were not yet selling them.
A few weeks later when I attended curlvolution  the conditioners were available to purchase and of course I indulged.
For those who don’t know Shealicious is a new brand created by ORS that comprises cocktail-inspired hair products, allowing the user to mix a blend of natural therapeutic oils with shea butter conditioner for specific hair problems. The solutions are mixed at the time of use to create a problem-targeting, hair conditioning cocktail for softer, shinier and healthier hair and scalp. The range also includes a Cleansing Balm Sulfate-Free Hydrating Shampoo, Scalp Relief Conditioning Treatment, Shine Booster Conditioning Treatment, Moisture Lock Conditioning Hair Treatment and Moisture Mist Leave-in Conditioning Spray.
Since I was already on my longhair journey I had already started mixing oils with my conditioners but I liked the fact that the quantities were pre measured and all you had to do is mix it.
They offer 3 different formulas in this range:

Moisture Lock

Scalp Relief

Shine Booster

I tried the Scalp Relief Hair Conditioning Cocktail which is described on the ORS website as:
“This pure oil mixer contains a soothing mélange of avocado and rosemary oils to help alleviate dry and itchy scalp. Avocado oil is packed with nutrients such as vitamins A, E and D, protein, copper, magnesium, iron, folic acid and amino acids, which are vital for hair nourishment and growth. Rosemary oil contains rosmarinic acid, which has been shown to have anti-inflammatory and anti-bacteria properties which helps calm the scalp and keep it clean to help avoid infections on broken skin.”
The only complaint was I found the packaging bloody hard to open lol! This could be because my hands were damp after washing my hair but I had to pierce the foil lid with a rat tail comb.
I loved the fact that it looked a bit like the Muller dual yogurts and fruit cups with the foil lid. It clearly says on the packaging ‘not for consumption ‘but I wouldn’t be surprised if someone gave it a go.

The mixture was really easy to mix and the smell was amazing! Fruity and yummy!
Applying the mixture to my hair is really easy I simply sectioned my hair into four parts and distributed the mixture evenly throughout each part. There was defiantly enough to give my hair a good coating, but someone with longer hair would probably need two pots.
The instructions said leave in for about 5-10 minutes but as my hair had been braids for the past 6 weeks (And I was tired) I decided to leave it on overnight to get a good deep condition.
The mixture also washes out really easily and didn’t leave my hair tangled which I loved. I then let my hair dry naturally then I moisturized and sealed.
Unfortunately I had my hair braided the following day so I can’t say how my hair preformed during the days following I am happy with the product and would defiantly use it again.

Have you tried any products from the ORS Sealicious range what did you think?

Walking On Air Pedicure Review

If your feet are in need of an a bit of TLC after a winter hidden away under tights and socks, head to Nice Nails Baby and check out their Walking On Air Pedicure

Based in uber trendy Clapham Junction Nice Nails Baby is everything that you could hope to expect from a jazzy, fashionable nail bar.
Clean white lines, walls covered in collages of amazing nail art and of course every imaginable hue of nail polish line up ready to be selected. As soon as I heard the 90s R&B vibrating through the speakers I was involved. This is the kind of place that you want to head to before you hit the town in your sexy sandals.

The pedicure Area, consisted of a long chair with lots of funky cushions keep you comfortable  with fashion magazines scattered on it to keep you entertained and lots of whilst your feet are primped and preened however I was having such a good time nattering away with Michelle Duberry who is also Managing Director and founder of Nice Nails Baby I didn’t need them.

What does the Walking On Air Pedicure Involve?

The luxury pedicure is a 45 minutes long treatment, beginning with the feet being bathed in bubbles
then a foot mask is applied to the feet and then wrapped in cling film and left for a few minutes in order for it to penetrate into the skin.
Once the mask was removed my cuticles were tidied nails were trimmed and filed shape followed by skin exfoliation, hard skin removal before a polish of my choice was applied.
I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed the Walking On Air Pedicure however even though I loved the powder blue colour I chose after changing my mind a number of time I wish I went for something more edgy or perhaps some nail art. Oh well I guess I’m going to have to go back in a couple of weeks then.

Over all I loved the whole experience it was nice to interact and have a good chat rather than put on my iPod and losing myself in a book or magazine it was even nicer to have staff that cared to interact with me instead of talking to each other in another language.
