First Look: L.K.Bennett London by Laura Bailey

OK so the eagerly anticipated collaboration between model Laura Bailey and L.K. Bennett has now landed and I have to say that even though I have purchased a few pieces from LK Bennett in the past I wouldn't describe myself as a fan unlike my Auntie Novelette who is a super L.K. Bennett fan.

When I received the invitation to the L.K. Bennett London by Laura Bailey Launch at the concession in Fenwicks from Elle Insider I thought that this would be a perfect excuse for some Auntie Niece time and perhaps I could be transformed into a fan.
L.K.Bennett London by Laura Bailey capsule collection consist of five shoes designs and two clutch bags which will be exclusively available from L.K.Bennett stores and online.

The colour pallet consists of vibrant colours such as bright yellows, blues, reds and oranges in funky yet almost traditional geometric prints.
During the event Laura Bailey talked about her inspiration for the collection which was her experience travelling which I picked up on instantly as the colours and the prints made me think about holidays and those adventures you have going to craft markets or chilling out by the beach.

Personally I find the collection to be very wearable and fun but a little bit out of my price range.
My auntie Novelette on the other hand loved everything and I’m sure she will be emailing me pictures of her new purchases next week.

Keziah CONNECTIONS: Nurture and Network Event with Nails & Brows

Last night I had the pleasure of attending a networking event called Keziah Connections I had previously been to one of their events which I enjoyed so I was more than happy to make my way in to London to network with like minded women.

For those of you that are unfamiliar Keziah Connections is a networking and mentoring organisation for the entrepreneurial, enterprising, professional woman of colour who has a passion for all things business and a flair for beauty and lifestyle. monthly networking and education evenings, prominent and up-and-coming figures from within the beauty and lifestyle sector share their expertise and experience to encourage and motivate the audience.

Founded and hosted by Natalie Clue of BeautyPulseLondon Keziah Connections has been hosting events for three years now and is going from strength to strength always coming up with amazing venues and motivational speakers industry leaders.

Held in a Held in the uber chic  Nails and Eyebrows a nail and brow styling boutique located in the heart of Mayfair London and founded but the beautiful and business savvy Sherrille Riley.

I instantly felt welcomed as soon as I walked through the door which after a hectic drive through London and a crazy day in the office which was exactly the kind of energy I needed.

After a glass of rose some nibbles and a quick manicure I was nattering away and I am pleased to say I was able to network with some amazing and inspirational women.

We also got to hear about what inspired Sherrille Riley to set up this unique enterprise and the process she had to go through to realize her dream offer her customers great products and excellent customer service that could at an affordable price.

I left the event inspired with beautiful nails  and I will defiantly be attending the next one.

Grazia & DVF's Fabulous Fashion Event

I excited to be invited to Grazia’s 10th Birthday which was being held at the Diane Von Furstenberg shop in Mayfair London.

I have been a fan of the for some time now (Not that I can justify  buying it because I am poor lol) I was somewhat intrigued by Diane Von Furstenberg herself as I had seen her on episodes of The City.
I also caught a few episodes of the House of DVF which was recently showing on E so I had an idea of who Brand Ambassador Brittany Hampton (And yes I was glad she won go girl!)
The event was absolutely lovely! Drinks were flowing and tasty nibbles were regularly being passed around by well-dressed wait staff.  The new season is amazing but what would you expect from DVF those amazing prints (Which has inspired me to make bolder choices with my wardrobe for SS15) and colours made my head spin and the sales staff all looked amazing.
Of course there was a sparkly pink photo booth and of course I was involved lol

I was hoping there would be a talk which explained the collection to us and perhaps some of the key trends for SS15 but unfortunately no joy.
However one of the sales assistants was an absolute gem as she talked me through the collection and help me select a bag to purchase.

All guests were given a £50 Gift voucher so I decided to treat myself to the Bag and a book called The Woman I Wanted to Be by DVF then I had to quickly make my exit before I was tempted to purchase anything else.

I mingled I sipped champagne chatted

up a storm then it was time to go home
