you'll always find me in the kitchen at parties

I think I like going to IKEA more than the average person should and add my friend Steph and her two year old daughter Maya to the mix and it makes for a fun day out

How pretty is this picture

Miss Maya hard at work

I went with the intention of picking up another GODMORGON transparent make up storage box with a tilt-up cosmetic brush section

and kind of looks like the infamous clear makeup drawers owned by Kim, Kourtney, Kris and Khloe Kardashian in Keeping up with the Kardashians.

as my dresser currently looks like this

It was designed to go inside a drawer but I like it sitting on top of my dresser so I can grab what I need quickly.
I also wanted a  DAVE Laptop table in which for my laptop obviously

Unfortunately both items were out of stock L

I was however extremely happy to pick up some NJUTA Shower peeling, which I find to be a really effective and gentle exfoliator.
It used to be in a Pink bottle (Which matched my bathroom perfectly)

so I nearly missed it as the new bottle is white, lilac (BOO!)

I made sure to buy two bottles because even though the last bottle I used lasted ages I wasn’t sure when I would be going down to IKEA again.

Hopefully I will be able to get the other items online

How to do Jet setter Chic *UPDATE*

I love to travel, Hate to fly? How to do Jet setter Chic what to wear/ pack in your hand luggage for a long haul flight *UPDATE*

A friend of mine is travelling to NYC this weekend and asked me for the benefits of my wisdom being the savvy traveller that am.

In all honesty I actually hate flying but I find to helps to dress comfortably and have my home comforts with me on the plane which stops me from bugging my travel buddy or even worse random strangers if I’m travelling alone

So everybody wins

I’ve travelled a few times since my last post and picked up some new tips so I figured an update was due.
Because I feel the need to carry so many items with me in my hand luggage recently invested in a cabin approved hand luggage from Primark which is very durable and roomy, yet it's still within hand luggage restrictions on most airlines, has four wheels so it’s very easy to lug around and an expandable zip compartment thingy to accommodate last minute duty free purchases

One of my other problems is that I tend to get very cold on flights but hate to be constricted by tight stiff clothing.

Think Layers which can be added and removed to make yourself comfortable

My flight day outfit generally consists of:

Thigh length boyfriend Cardigan

Vest top

Long sleeved top

skinny jeans (Over leggings so they can be taken off on the plane)

Comfortable foot wear

Coat/jacket depending on my destination

In my wheelie case I managed to fit the following essentials and still had room for the tons of magazines and snacks I purchased at the airport:

   Travel Pillow

Snuggey – Controversial but I think necessary, My friends are at 1st embarrassed when I take it out but then want to get under it with me!

Sorry but no a Snuggie is effective for one person don’t you see the arm holes??

Book – Now upgraded to a Kindle and hopefully an I pad soon

Facial wipes

Mini hand sanitizer

Travel size Vaseline

Tooth brush with travel case

Travel tooth paste

Travel mouth wash

Dermalogica Multi Active Toner (Travel size)

Dermalogica Active Moist (Travel size)

Small travel container with hair gel

Small travel container with hair grease

IPod touch

Nose cancelling earphones

Mac lip gloss

Mac congealer

Mac powder

Wide tooth comb

hair brush

Passport/ passport holder.

Vest top

Travel sized deodorant

small bottle of perfume

Frequent flyer CARD!!

Silk scarf/ Bonnet

Reusable Coffee Cup+Tea Bags

Once I were in the air and the seat belt sings were turned off I like to rushed to the toilets where I take off my jeans, and make-up slather moisturizer on my face and style my hair either a bun, Pippy long stocking style braids or even curlers depending on my hairstyle of choice, and let’s not forget the silk scarf/bonnet.

I then went back to my seat where I kicked off my shoes and don my comfy puppy dog slippers, wrapped myself up in my Snuggie and then entertain myself with the in-flight facilities, read my kindle/magazines or of possible go to asleep (I am normally unable to sleep on planes).

Just before the landing to land, its back to the toilet where I like to quickly freshen up with the facial wipes, change into my clean vest top, brush my teeth, apply some concealer under my eyes followed by a light application of powder, mascara and some lip-gloss, restyle my hair then I then put my jeans (Depending on the weather of my destination) and shoes back on then I’m ready to face a new looking fab!

Oh can’t forget I’m very much a tea snob and hate the tiny cups that they serve tea in so I have started packing my own tea bags and a reusable coffee cup which will keep the beverage hot for much longer and reduce spills.

For my last trip I actually invested in an airport lounge as my flight was well worth it

I went to the No. 1 lounge which included

a hot breakfast as well as a continental breakfast,
 unlimited tea, coffee,
 juices and soft drinks

games room, cinema, Media room and even a spa if you would like a last minute facial or manicure.
Hope these tips help

Longing for Violent Lips!

I came across these crazy Temporary Lip Tattoos from Violent Lips, have literally just placed an order and cannot wait to try them out.

I remember seeing the union jack and the studded designs on Jessie J but I thought it was the work of a very patient and creative make up team.

I love Jessie J’s Make-up Looks! And of course fallen in love with her Music!
From her Music, Style, Attitude! And God Damn can that girl can sing. You need to check her out in a New York Subway on You Tube! Woha! Amazing!
Now I had to blog this Amazing flashing Image of Jessie J… Loving the fact it really highlight’s her Make-up which is one thing that got me liking Jessie J’s Music… It was those studded lips in ‘Do it like a dude’ did it for me! I was hooked!
Jessie J’s latest song, ‘Nobody’s Perfect’,is a great way of seeing what’s-what of new season makeup trends. Some of the looks are perhaps a little ‘out there’ but by taking elements of each look, you can dip a toe in the on-trends. I also love Jessie’s no makeup look in the video - milky skin juxtaposed with near jet-black hair and just a hint of a pinky lip… All her makeup is just magic!!
Celebrity Makeup Artist Karin Darnell has been well known to work on some of Jessie’s looks :D

far I have seen them on other celebs such at

Kelly Rowland

Lady Gaga

Kim Kardashian

Generally i tend to go for more natural lip colours and have been scared to step out the box and try more eye-catching shades such as hot pink or bright reds or even Frost bite blue however these lip tattoos have appealed to my curious nature and I’m very excited to try them.

Once I receive my order which will consist of the Pink Cheetah lips

 Pink Polka dot lips

and the Pink glitterati

(Can you guess what my fave colour is?).

I have no idea where I will wear them but I am sure I will work something out and I promise to take lots of pictures and perhaps a tutorial once I work out how to put them on properly.

Daphne Guinness and M.A.C collection

When I read that Daphne Guinness had collaborated with M.A.C to bring us a cosmetics line

I didn’t quite know what to expect.

Yes her style is somewhat over the tops with her Black and white skunk style hair do,

outrageous couture outfits and gravity defying platform shoes.

I have yet to see the collection in person but from looking at the press release I think it is Fab! A long time fan of the Smokey eye (even though it takes me ages)

I find the collection to be very sultry and grown up with a sexy vampire magnetism.

I must say I’m very surprised since I'm used to seeing flashy collections with bright colours from MAC especially the ones endorsed by celebs, it was nice to see some nudes in the mix with subtle pops of colour such as blushes, brown eyeliners, deep red and mauve lipsticks, and deep gold and purple pigments

I've just realised this is the 1st collection to be endorsed by a socialite.

What are your thoughts??

What a Bargin!! Primark Ankle Boots

I hadn’t been to Primark in fact I hadn’t really been on a proper shopping trip for a while however I have been seeking a pair of heeled ankle boots for some time and was actually lusting after the Dr Martin Heeled boots after I saw  Amelle Berrabah from the The Sugerbabes wearing a bright pink pair to an event.
I immediately jumped on line and found them on the Dr Martin website in black

however I wasn’t sure if I was totally in love with the shape of the boots and my friends didn’t share my vision

Fendi also had a cute style out but they were slightly out of my price range at the time.

I digress while I was in Primark buying trinkets for my goddaughters sticking I came across theses funky boots in brown for only £11.90!!

I still had some doubts and I would have preferred black instead of the Brown and Olive green

that they had available in my size but I figured that for that price I really couldn’t go wrong and snapped up a brown pair.

After 1st wearing them I was really pleased these comfortable boots are just what my hard-working feet deserved!

I was kind of out of the habit of wearing heels on a daily bases but some insoles did the trick and I loved the way that I could wear the boots with skirts

or with skinny jeans or leggings tucked in for an

edgy look

or with long trousers for a smarter look.

I also liked the tread on the soles and the heels which will make it easier to walk in case we get snow (Yes I think about these things)

I also have been getting a lot of complements about the boots when I wore them which was great but when it comes to items from Primark I always say “If you like it but two!”

And the more complements I got the more determined I was to go back and get another pair. Fingers crossed they would have them left in my size.

Christmas eve o decoded to wake up early and brave the pre chrism as rush to grab a second pair for myself and also a pair form my friend Tilly as an Xmas present. Fingers crossed I approached the shoe but unfortunately they didn’t have any more in my size they did however have it in a dark cranberry red colour whoop whoop very pleased

After having a wonderful Christmas I woke up boxing day bright and early ready to hit the sales (Well not bright and early but it was before the afternoon) didn’t see much in the sales and I eventually ended up back in Primark where ended up in the shoe section and happened upon the boots in BLACK high gloss patent and they were in my size.

Love em?

Go cop a pair for yourself while stocks last
